God & Country (P.R.A.Y.) Program
The God & Country program is a series of age-specific courses designed to help youth pursue a deeper understanding of their Christian faith. This program, created by the good folks at P.R.A.Y, fulfills the requirements for religious awards earned by Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire groups. Enrollment is not limited to Scouts. It is open to any child in grades 1-12. Programs offered at most Protestant denominations, including United Methodist Churches, are typically open to any Protestant youth, no matter if/where he/she attends church.
There are 4 levels in the program:
- Grades 1-3 God and Me
- Grades 4-5 God and Family
- Grades 6-8 God and Church
- Grades 9-12 God and Life
Each student enrolls with a parent/adult partner. Elementary age courses (“God & Me” and “God & Family” courses) are usually completed within three months. Courses for older students typically take 5-6 months.
